At Bluebird Pediatric Dentistry, the safety of our patients and staff team is our top priority.  We have put in place advanced protocols to make your visit safe. Please see below for a quick introduction to these steps, and do not hesitate to give us a call with any questions or concerns.

• Daily health check for team members:  Every team member will start their day with a self assessment to ensure good health and readiness for patient care.

•  Health checks for patients: A quick health questionnaire will be completed by each family on their     appointment day just prior to their arrival.

• Masks: The beautiful smiles of all our team members will often be protected behind masks.  Please know that we are smiling behind our masks and are happy to see you!  We are up close and personal with lots of children and families every day.  Wearing our masks helps us protect ourselves and our own families from exposure to illnesses.  If you or anyone in your family is currently experiencing coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, pink eye, or any other symptoms that could be contagious, we ask that you and your family wear a mask in the office except when receiving care.  This protects both you and the dental team from possible transmission of symptoms.

• Office cleaning: Dental offices have always been very clean!   We have always (and continue to) cleaned each patient station after every single patient.  We wipe down the chairs, surfaces, radiographic equipment, and tools with a strong yet EPA-approved disinfecting solution after each use.  We use lots of suction and clean water to reduce aerosols coming out of the mouth.  We continue to sterilize instruments and equipment between each patient in the manner appropriate for that material. Our water is not only distilled but also each station has its own charcoal filter to make sure that only the very cleanest water gets into your child's mouth.

•  To keep our office clean and neat, please do not bring food and drink inside.

UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS:

Personal protective gear such as safety glasses, gloves, and masks have been in use by dentists and their staff for decades.  The added precautions Bluebird Pediatric Dentistry is taking, including providing private rooms for each patient, requesting a pre-screening questionnaire prior to each patient encounter, and having you and other families wear a mask when having symptoms of any head cold, stomach bug, or other potentially contagious illness, are there to help keep you and our team safe and secure.

Please know that we adhere to the recommendations of the North Carolina State Dental Board, OSHA, and the CDC.  We work hard to stay up to date with the most advanced safety protocols.
